I am Mark Townsend, owner and founder of Freedom Focus, LLC.  I am very passionate about self-reliance and self-sufficiency.  What could be more important than learning to provide for your own safety.  As have many people, I bought my first pistol for home defense.  I quickly realized I needed training.  I also learned that going to the range without an understanding of what it took to be proficient was a waste of time and money.  I began shooting in IDPA, USPSA and Steel Challenge matches.  I also took several classes (listed below for your reference).  Freedom Focus, LLC was created because I love helping people replace anxiety with confidence and preparedness.

 I became an NRA certified instructor in May 2019 and then a USCCA Certified Instructor in September 2019.  I have taught several hundred students in USCCA workshops and several more in my classes.  In fall of 2022, I purchased a LaserShot Firearms Simulator that I use to teach everything from shooting fundamentals to responding to violent attacks.  The simulator is a very powerful learning experience and does not use live ammunition.

 Freedom Focus training includes quality training programs developed by the USCCA and custom live fire training designed to meet the skill level and needs of the student.  Freedom Focus training provides instruction on safe firearm ownership, conflict avoidance and the legal use of force.
